Chit Chat, a new tool for chatting on facebook

 Sono molti gli utenti che lamentano problemi con la chat di Facebook, per questo è stato creato un programma che consente di chattare con i contatti Facebook senza dover accedere al sito, si chiama  Chit Chat .
Presenta un’interfaccia molto semplice, con notifiche di messaggistica instantanea, avvisi di stato, finestra chat.
Basta scaricare il programma e immettere username e password Facebook.

Guida all’utilizzo

1. Collegarsi alla pagina ufficiale di  Chit Chat sosftware and download to your computer by clicking the orange "Download " on the homepage;

2. Run the installation like any other program and start the application through the appropriate icon on the desktop (the program should start automatically);

3. As with any client to chat, you log in to your account by entering your credentials in the appropriate fields (email address used on Facebook and password). Select the appropriate box "Remember email and password" to make access more automatico. Cliccare quindi il bottone “ Sign in “.

4. Al primo avvio, potrete decidere di condividere con i vostri contatti Facebook il fatto che state utilizzando Chit Chat attraverso un aggiornamento del vostro stato: basterà scegliere “ Si ” oppure “ No ” in base alle proprie preferenze;

5. Una volta effettuato l’accesso, troverete la lista dei vostri contatti di Facebook, suddivisi fra quelli  online  e quelli  offline . Basterà un semplice  doppio click su un contatto online per avviare chat. On 9 and 10 December in Amsterdam will be shown in the operation of semantic engines CMS Project Interactive Knowledge Stack

Milan, 23 November 2010 - Interactive Knowledge Stack (IKS), the open source project that has the objective of speeding up the adoption of semantic web technologies in content management systems, is organizing its second annual workshop in Amsterdam on 9 and 10 December. The workshop will provide a preview of some of the software components developed by the project, as Incubator Project to be launched within the Apache Software Foundation (ASF).

“Le dimostrazioni di software funzionanti e i primi casi di adozione, a distanza di meno di due anni dalla nascita del progetto, dimostreranno il potenziale che le tecnologie del web semantico offrono al mercato dei sistemi per la gestione dei contenuti”, afferma la portavoce italiana del progetto Valentina Presutti del CNR (Laboratorio STLab-ISTC). “Il nostro obiettivo per Amsterdam è proprio quello di dimostrare il valore delle nostre tecnologie per i clienti, gli sviluppatori e i fornitori di software di content management”.

Il primo giorno, ci saranno quattro sessioni sull’utilizzo del software di semantic enhancement di IKS, che inizieranno con un caso applicativo in the media and publishing platform based on CMS Nuxeo. The second session will look at search engine optimization (SEO), where semantic technologies are already providing significant added value for both developers and for users, and then the third semantic authoring editor with the new "rich text" of the project. The final session will examine the use of IKS as Linked Open Data infrastructure for any enterprise-class CMS.

The second day there will be practical sessions for developers of CMS, conducted by the development team of IKS, to verify the possibility to integrate IKS with third-party solutions through the development di piccoli prototipi pratici. How to disable email notifications from groups di Facebook

  Forse alcuni di voi non se ne saranno accorti, ma  Facebook  ha di recente introdotto delle novità piuttosto importanti per ciò che concerne i  gruppi : un'agrafica migliorata, unachat integrata per gli iscritti, un blocco note condiviso e, infine,notifiche simili a quelle della mailing list. E' proprio quest’ultima introduzione, assieme a un piccolo ma significativo particolare, ha cominciato pian piano a mostrare dei fastidiosi effetti collaterali.

Il particolare di cui parlo è che ora chiunque venga invitato a iscriversi a un gruppo non avrà più la facoltà di scelta sul momento, ma verrà automaticamente iscritto e potrà cancellarsi solo in seguito, accedendo al gruppo stesso. Ciò significa che, se avete qualche centinaio di amici e ognuno di questi ha la geniale idea di invitarvi anche solo a un gruppo, vi ritroverete in un batter d’occhio un numero infinito di adesioni non desiderate.

Ma non è finita qui: come ho detto prima, le notifiche sono ora simili alle mailing list. Cià vuol dire che quando qualcuno vi inviterà a un gruppo (iscrivendovi automaticamente),riceverete una mail. Quando qualcuno pubblicherà qualcosa sul gruppo, riceverete una mail. Quando qualcunomodificherà a document, you will receive an e-mail.  Atteso per  Marzo 2011 , il successore del tablet Apple iPad dovrebbe portare interessanti novità che permetteranno di poter gestire meglio tante piccole cose che oggi in un modo o nell'altro risultano un pò ostiche.

Tra quelle che reputo più interessanti, vi posso elencare:

Supporto nativo miniUSB  - Presto obbligatorio in Europa, penso che il supporto miniUSb sarà introdotto già nel prossimo modello e dovrebbe inoltre essere il primo passo che Apple dovrà intraprendere per sostituire tutte le porto 30 pin attualmente utilizzate nei suoi dispositivi. Almeno avremo qualche possibilità di trovare someone who can lend a cable!

FaceTime and Dual Camera - If an iPod touch of 250 € has FaceTime system, why not put it on a iPad over 700 €? Among other things, the Galaxy Tab already have a camera with video recording (and also records fairly well). The lack of a webcam or at least a camera has always left me rather perplexed.

The bug, in particular, struck account of female users. From Facebook said "The bug, which is active for a short period of time, has disabled a small percentage of the account. As soon as we discovered, we immediately set to work to resolve it. The problem is now fixed and we are reactivating the profiles disabled by sending a notification to the users involved. "Users affected received a mail containing instructions on how to rehabilitate your account suspected" Please, send us a copy of a document identity, making sure that the name, date of birth and photo are clearly visible. Dopo l’annuncio di un  bug  che avrebbe disabilitato migliaia di utenti il social network sta accusando forse altri problemi ben più seri? Si tratta di un problema controllato, un sovraccarico della linea oppure di tentativi di sabotaggio? Per il momento non ci sono notizie a riguardo in rete.
